My name is Josh Benti. I grew up in Plymouth WI, and went to Calvin College in Grand Rapids MI where I studied Recreation. I am taking a temporary hiatus from school to do some meaningful work with Americorps. In my free time I enjoy canoeing, kayaking, climbing, backpacking, and exploring my nearby wilderness areas. I enjoy reading non-fiction books and studying local flora and fauna. I commute by bike and geek out on all the gear and stories I can find about backcountry travel. I plan on finishing my degree and starting a youth rec center focused on building community leaders with a love for nature.
